rinse-off after the beach

Roxie here–OMG–we had an almost brush with the law this week!  so here’s what happened…

We were waiting for our ferry to take us back to mainland Vancouver and killing some time at this cute little beach that was off the beaten path. there was just us and 2 other couples there-one had a nice big black dog that was having fun swimming in the channel.

SO mommy throws the stick in the water, and i’m telling you, it was cold!!! Wayyyy too cold for me, so i grabbed the stick and ran up to the lawn area with daddy.  At exactly that moment,

this dude in a uniform drives up in an animal control van.  mommy snapped my leash on, and we laid on the grass real inconspik…nonchal…well, we kept a real low profile.  so mr. man gets out of the van and goes up to the people of the nice black dog, and has a clipboard with him and starts writing, and THEN he snaps a lead on that nice dog and takes him away in his van!!!!!!!!!!!  the people were freaking out, and so were mommy and daddy, because what if he woulda seen me???? we couldn’t have caught the ferry, and they would have to bail me out of jail! and the fine, on top of that is $2000!!!! YIKES!

On the way out of the park, mommy noticed a little-bitty sign that said “Absolutely NO dogs on beach!!”

Whew! that was a close call!  She’s gonna have to pay a lot more attention to the signs from now on.  Bad, mommy, BAD!!!!
