kizzy here…
wow! things are really moving along here in preparation for the “Big Trip”! after our trial-run camping trip to alabama last week, we decided i might need a little help in the hiking department.
since I’m a senior dog (somewhere between 13 and 14,) i am starting to get arthritis in my front leg, just like mommy in her shoulder. OUCH! except mommy had sug, , sergsurgu, mommy had an operation on her shoulder, and it made it worse!
anyway, i can ususlly go a couple of miles before i start to limp a little, even though i still want to keep hiking. (i love love love the hiking thing–i’ve been doing it all my life!) so mommy and diddy made me a really cool backpack out of one of their old suitcase/backpacks. they filled it with a foam pillow and an air pillow to make me more comfy, so i think i kinda like it.
actually, mommy wanted to buy me a real dog carrier, but at 26 lbs, it’s hard to find them big enuf, and diddy is real fug, frg, frugul, he’s real cheap. so this is what i have. what do you think? do you have any suggestions to make a great dog carrier?
It looks great. Maybe you could market a line of them! It looks like Kismet approves.
yeah, he looks comfy.
I think your family of five will be very comfortable in your “pop-up cave on wheels”!!! Mommy, you look great in front of our (your) camper. Looking forward to future blogs!!
thanks, joe! (joe was the original owner of the pop-up) we love it!!!!!!
Very interesting DIY carrier! It looks like it does the job and Kizzy sure looks comfortable 🙂
i HOPE he is comfy– will be doing more trials!
Chester and Gretel are only 8 and 13 lbs so I can tuck them into a small pack I wear like a baby sling on the front if I need to. What you put together looks great for a bigger dog…..adn then Kizzy doesn’t have to stare at your face the whole time you are hiking 🙂
