This summer, the BARK, the Dog Culture Magazine, published an article I wrote for their glossy magazine called “Taking the Plunge- a liveaboard life, complete with dogs.”
I wrote the article because I saw a real need for fellow cruisers who were considering taking their dogs along on their travels. Unfortunately, many people postpone their desire to begin a cruising life because they have pets. My theory is they should, by all means, include their fur kids in their new and exciting lifestyle. By being prepared ahead of time, some of the stress can be relieved on both owners and the pets themselves.
I chose Bark Magazine because it is a magazine for the pet-owning masses. It’s focus isn’t on fancy breeds, dog shows, etc. Instead, The Bark offers common-sense articles with lots of how-to’s and entertaining stories, along with interest-grabbing pictures and illustrations. It is a well-rounded magazine with lots of interesting information even for pet-free people, and I am honored to be represented on its pages.
Now that the article is available online, I thought I’d share it here on Call It Kismet. Just click on the link below to be directed to the article.

If any of you have friends that cruise with their fur-kids, feel free to pass this along. Thanks!
